Japan's ANA Holdings (9202.T) will buy 8.8 percent of Vietnam Airlines for about $109 million, Vietnam Airlines Chief Executive Officer Pham Ngoc Minh said on Tuesday.

The stake sale would start as soon as the middle of this year, Minh told Reuters in a text message.(Reporting by Mai Nguyen)
